Itinerary

Day 0: Delhi – Shimla
Depart from Delhi and journey to Shimla, where the anticipation of Spiti’s winter beauty begins.

Day 1: Shimla – Chitkul/Sangla
Travel to Chitkul or Sangla, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Enjoy views of snow-clad mountains and the enchanting Baspa River.

Day 2: Chitkul – Tabo
From Chitkul, make your way to Tabo, renowned for its ancient monastery adorned with murals and intricate frescoes. Tabo Monastery is known as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas” for its historical and cultural significance.

Day 3: Tabo – Dhankar Monastery – Pin Valley – Kaza
Visit the hilltop Dhankar Monastery, offering breathtaking views of Spiti’s landscapes. Continue to the serene Pin Valley and later arrive in Kaza, the capital of Spiti Valley.

Day 4: Kaza – Langza – Komic – Hikkim – Kaza
Experience Kaza’s nearby villages, each with its unique charm. Visit Langza, known for its Buddha statue overlooking the valley, and Komic, one of the highest villages in Asia. Hikkim, home to the highest post office in the world, is another highlight of the day.

Day 5: Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber – Chicham Bridge
Explore Key Monastery, the region’s largest and most iconic monastery, before heading to Kibber Village. End the day with a visit to Chicham Bridge, one of Asia’s highest suspension bridges.

Day 6: Kaza – Gue Monastery – Kalpa
On the way to Kalpa, visit Gue Monastery, home to the 500-year-old mummy of a Buddhist monk. Kalpa’s apple orchards and scenic views of the Kinnaur Kailash peaks make it a beautiful stop.

Day 7: Kalpa – Shimla – Delhi
Travel from Kalpa to Shimla and onward to Delhi, marking the end of an unforgettable Christmas adventure in Spiti Valley.
